Winona is Craig Armstrong and Scott Fraser, one the most significant
composer-artists of his generation, the other a hugely in-demand player
and programmer. Armstrong and Fraser dusted off their eye- watering
collection of vintage synthesizers and set about making widescreen,
minor-key masterpieces to bring you the Winona project. The Dead Soul
Brothers (aka Hervé and Seba) take ‘Without You’,
featuring vocals from the honey-through-velvet voiced Lucy Pullin, and
create an anthemic dancefloor track. The King of fidget Herve has
rocked the past couple of years with releases on Dave Taylor's mighty
Dubsided label.
